If for any reason you are unable to keep your puppy in the future they are always welcome back here until I am able to place them in an appropriate home. I am available anytime for whatever questions you may have regarding your puppy and would very much appreciate updates on how they are doing.
While I can assure you that I do not place puppies that show any signs of illness and make every effort to ensure that your puppy is healthy when placed, I do offer the following limited health guarantee. You must have your puppy examined by a veterinarian within 72 hours of placement or this guarantee is void.

Your puppy will be up to date on vaccinations and will have been given deworming medication at least once before placement.  They will be examined by my Veterinarian and have a general well puppy exam i.e. that the puppy appears to be alert, active and in good health, has no signs of ear infections, external parasites and has no unusual eye or nose discharge. They will also be checked for Patellar luxation, visible or palpable hernias, undescended testicles in males, visible coat or skin conditions,  and heart conditions such as murmurs that are audible in a routine exam. If any of these conditions are diagnosed you will have the option to release the puppy and receive a refund of any deposits and payments or you may agree to accept the puppy, possibly at a discounted rate as agreed upon by both parties.
Hereditary:
I guarantee your puppy during its first year against congenital  defects that are life threatening or not medically manageable. You are required to notify me immediately and provide a written diagnosis from your Veterinarian along with appropriate supporting test documents stating that the condition is congenital, meaning the puppy was born with the condition and that it is not due to other causes such as accidents, insect borne diseases, parasites or viruses.  The puppy must be returned immediately with all AKC papers and your veterinarian's statement of illness.  A refund of the purchase price only will be given unless at the breeders discretion you choose to keep the puppy, in which case a refund of 50% of the purchase price only will be given.  All other expenses are your responsibility and include but are not limited to all medical costs while the puppy is in your care and shipping costs to return the puppy if required.
Communicable:
Should your puppy be diagnosed with Parvo or Distemper within  5 days of placement and the puppy subsequently dies or is euthanized due to the disease a full refund of the purchase price only will be given.  You are required to provide a written diagnosis from your vet stating the puppy contracted the disease before placement with proof that the appropriate testing has been done to support the diagnosis.  If the puppy dies before a positive diagnosis can be made you are responsible for the costs required to determine the cause of death.  If the puppy is treated and recovers a refund will be given in the amount of the medical costs associated with the treatment or the purchase price, whichever is less.

I do not guarantee against Hypoglycemia, but I do give information on prevention and intervention.  I do not guarantee against coccidia, giardia, mites or other internal or external parasite.  Patellar luxation, hernias, allergies or skin or coat problems including Color dilution Alopecia that are not diagnosed at the initial vet exam are considered medically manageable and are not covered under this guarantee.

These health guarantees are valid for the original puppy buyer only and are non transferable.  Refunds for puppies that are released due to a health condition before placement will be made immediately by check through standard mail delivery.  Refunds for puppies diagnosed with a covered condition at the buyers required initial vet visit or within the 5 day period for parvo/distemper will be made when all documentation has been received and the puppy is returned if required.  Refunds for puppies diagnosed with a covered congenital condition will be made within 90 days after the receipt of the required documents and if required the return of the puppy.
Lineal's Chihuahuas Policies and Guarantee

Lineal's Chihuahuas
My name is Robin Lineal and I am a small hobby breeder and exhibitor of AKC chihuahua puppies from champion lines. My Chis are first and foremost treasured family companions. The welfare of my dogs and puppies is my first priority. A great deal of consideration is given to the qualities of each dog before they are bred so as to produce quality healthy puppies to the breed standard with sweet loving temperments.

Every effort is made to  ensure that the puppy you have chosen will be a good match for your family and home environment. I cannot guarantee the size or color of your puppy as there are to many facotrs that determine how they will turn out as adults. Creams, fawns and blues often darken as they mature, sables tend to lighten. Puppies from large litters may be smaller to start but may catch up later when they are eating on their own. Moms with abundant milk can produce roly poly pups that seem like they will be larger but once they are running around and stop nursing they slow down and end up much smaller.  I can make an educated guess based on the size and background of the parents as well as by using the weight chart commonly used to predict a chihuahuas adult size, but it is only an "educated guess". In addition I cannot guarantee that your puppy will turn out to be the show or breeding prospect that you may be hoping for. I can guide you to the pups I think have the potential for show or breeding but the qualities a puppy possesses at 8-12 weeks old may change as they develop and mature.

I spend a great deal of time socializing your puppy so they will be happy, loving, interactive members of your family.  My dogs Have plenty of outdoor time durring good weather, soaking up the sunshine and fresh air, but they also spend equal time indoors following us around while we do our daily tasks and enjoying snuggles when its relaxation time.

Chihuahuas are not backyard dogs
If that is your intention please do not even bother to inquire.

All males that are not solid show prospects will be placed with limited AKC registration on a neuter contract. Males need to be neutered by 6 months before they start lifting their legs.  This will ensure a happy, healthy indoor life for your littly guy instead of being banished to the back yard. Even breeding males can wear bellybands if there is a problem with leg lifting. All pet quality females and females charting less than 4 lbs are also placed with limited AKC on a spay contract. Full AKC must be approved in advance.
